On the drainage pipe, could pvc be used instead of the corrugated? Would it drain better long term going pvc?

In Texas you have to seal the well off with hole plug or cement. The state of Texas would eat your lunch if they knew you dump contaminated soil/debris in the well.

Thank you for making this video about the preparation and pour of a mono slab. When you said that the last batch of concrete seemed to be different to the previous ones, and there was a lot of bleed water, I was thinking that mayhaps the folks at the batching plant mightn't have put as many kilos of cement per cubic metre or possibly, not as much plasticiser in that last batch. For me, I think excessive bleed water translates to "internal segregation" of the components of the concrete, lack of homogeneity. Apart from that bit of "constructive criticism", I think that you , and your crew did a great job.

nice work Sean, on something like that you don't have to compact in lifts when backfilling a large space? I would suppose the machines would compact somewhat. Settlement of material is it alot or not too much overall?

All the weight is where , at the end of the trailer. Should have done it with boom aft. The counter weight should have been forward. can you rotate it 180 degrees and move it more forward. More weight on the tongue and more weight centered on the axles. Maybe it does not matter with a 4,000 pound machine

We were out enjoying a great day until my bud needed to load his quad on his sled deck on back of truck. Got two front tires on deck, started to slip and off the side he went. Broke two ribs. When we got everything settled and organized we ironically realized he still, like always had a winch on front of this quad. Hooked winch to front of sled deck and winch/idled quad on top of deck. Easy peasy . USE A WINCH! It's easy with no drama involved. Cheers.

We're adding a 12x24 area to our house and will be pouring a concrete slab ourselves since the crawlspace will be connected to our finished basement and I don't want to deal with unwelcomed guests. Hey, I am trying to understand how do you organize the pavers, seems extremely chaotic, but it's beautiful which makes me think there's a system?

The footing is fine and probably original. The bowing is at the weak points where block was not staggered. Most likely the contractor did not fill with rebar down to the foundation. Looks like they built new onto an existing wall then painted it.

Where did the pipe drain to?

Very rough finish, why not pay a couple of finishers? That floor will be hard to clear when oil is spilled on it.

I wish there was some details about when and where to do the step ups
